Now plus.when you bring in the Witcher.the last game catapulted it way up, but it's not a stand alone 's back by a fabulous series of books it where the store comes from, as does Dragon Age. I really enjoyed Greedfall, but you could tell it was an original.a 1st in what I pray in many many many more to come, because the developers did leave things open that can be advanced on in many many way. And you are right if you just put Skyrim by itself the story is a little lame.but it you put it & all it DLC's with all the Elder Scrolls on a whole, the story concept changes. You mentioned about Skyrim and the story, but you have to remember Skyrim isn't a stand s part of the entire Elder Scrolls series. It has so much potential and possibilities for future development. Personally when I started playing, it gave me the impression of the Elder Scroll or Dragon Age in their infancy. It's not without its flaws but itd strengths really make up for it. So that's my two cent: if you like giving lesser known/overlooked games a try Greedfall might be for you. The game does subtly move you along the story and some side content is locked based on story progression. Which i enjoy because sometimes larger games are just s turn off as i has to balance responsibility and down time for gaming. Hell I got my copy of PS Now.Īlso I'm still on my first play myself but it seems like Greedfall is a lot smaller in scope and length that stuff like Skyrim and Witcher. That being said, Greedfall is a unique not fully triple A game that you can tell has passion put into it and its fairly cheap. Its a nicely designed world with a good story and dialogue but the combat can get repetitive fairly quickly and its kind of on you to keep it interesting mixing up different skills and play styles from what's available. Those are the biggest upside snd.not so upside to this game. It's nowhere near as in depth as the games you mentioned but its engaging enough with its implementation of its system.

It does the job getting you from point A to B. That being said the combat itself in serviceable. The island is beautiful and fun to explore. Its strong point is the story and dialogue and it has some well designed side content. It's its own unique entity in the overwhelming genre of open world action RPGs. Think of Greedfall as a nice.not Triple A but strong B+ action RPG. I really feel like it's unfair to.compare Greedfall to big games like The Witcher or Skyrim because it's just not any of those and that's in a good way.
